Be Water

Not all of us are meant to be on fire right now.
Lately, the world feels ablaze: voices raised, tempers hot, hearts burning with passion and frustration. Fire energy is everywhere. It shows up in the intensity of our words, our reactions, and our urgency to be right or to be heard.
And fire isn't bad. It is, after all, the element of creation. Fire is the force that burns away what no longer belongs and clears space for something new to come alive. We need our fire people; they are the destroyers of what's outdated and the bringers of change.
But too much fire can scorch everything in sight: our relationships, our communities, and our own inner peace.
In a recent divination, Spirit reminded me:
Not all of us are meant to carry fire right now. Some of us are being called to bring more water.
Water cools.
Water calms.
Water soothes.
Water clears.
It moves gently but powerfully, reshaping everything it touches through steadiness, not aggression. Being water means taking the high road, responding instead of reacting, extending compassion instead of judgement. It means choosing forgiveness, empathy, and calm when the world begs for chaos and outrage.
It means choosing connection when the world begs for division.
Water is not weak.
Water is unyielding.
If something blocks waters' path, it always finds a way. Not through an explosion, but through persistence, the quiet strength of clarity and patience. Not by burning through, but by flowing around, over, and through until peace is restored.
So if you've felt out of step lately... too gentle for the noise, too soft for the storm, too calm for the chaos... maybe you're not meant to burn.
Maybe you're meant to be water.
And the world needs you, too.
With Love,
Kelsey
