Tending To Your Inner Light

Updated: Apr 22, 2022

Awakening, whether personal or collectively, is not always beautiful or easy. In truth, it can be challenging, complicated and emotional.

All throughout my own inner awakening, and especially during the last year, I have found myself screaming profanities, sobbing, and grieving. I have felt, at times, deeply confused, lost, hopeless and uncertain about the future. I have felt the urge to blame and point fingers at others. I have prayed for justice and accountability. I have felt burdened by the pain of doubt, fear and insecurity. I have lost countless hours of sleep worrying about the kind of mess we are leaving our children and future generations to clean up. I have felt anger and rage like never before. Time again, I've had to address my deepest, most painful wounds.

In these moments I have also experienced tremendous bliss, beauty and wonder. I have cherished the childlike innocence and playful nature of my children. I have joyfully laughed, played, smiled and felt deep gratitude. At times, I've felt deeply heartbroken by the World events that have unfolded and other times, I've felt grateful for the opportunities to slow down, reevaluate life and spend more time with my family.

Additionally, I have currently felt more empowered than I have ever felt. I have felt strong, confident and capable. There is something beautiful that emerges within each of us as we lean deeper into Truth no matter how uncomfortable it may be at first.

Like me, you will make mistakes throughout your Soul's journey. You will ask the wrong questions and even stumble upon false narratives. You will make assumptions that may turn out to be misguided. At times, you will understand that for most of our life we've all been deeply misinformed.

Don't beat yourself up over your imperfections. We're human, and this is how we grow. It is through our cracks where the light is able to shine through. It is through our mistakes and lessons that we can begin to evolve.

No matter what's happening in your life right now, I want to assure you that it is okay to feel the full range of emotions. In fact, it's necessary. Give yourself permission to feel it all. Give yourself permission to break if you need to. Be gentle with yourself as what we are awakening to right now is no easy task.

You may also want to pay attention to the ways in which you zone out, check out or numb yourself from confronting yourself, your fears, your worries and all that is unfolding in the outer world. In what ways are you self-sabotaging, avoiding or delaying your own inner healing?

We are each being given an incredible opportunity to quantum leap into a higher state of existence. This leap is not for the faint of heart. We must be prepared to expand and stretch our ways of thinking. We must be committed and dedicated to eradicating the old, self-limiting parts of ourselves. We must be able to flow into completely new ways of living, expressing ourselves and treating others.

As you grow and evolve, it's important to remember not to neglect your energetic and emotional support tools that you've acquired over the years. Make sure you're putting your self care first and doing daily activities to keep your personal vibration as high as possible. If you're new to this kind of work, you can begin by working to raise your vibration and clearing your energy daily. These self-healing techniques will help you to move through the upcoming sharp twists and turns with more ease and grace.

The physical, emotional, mental and spiritual parts of ourselves all need a lot of attention right now to support the massive influxes of energy and transformation. Please do not neglect yourself. You are of very little service to anyone when your cup is empty.

There are many distractions that will tempt to take you away from the important inner work, self care, healing and vibratory work that is needed for us to move forward and evolve.

It's easy to become overwhelmed with information right now. When we're not balancing these energies appropriately, we become disconnected from our Higher Selves and our hearts. We get sucked into the stories of fear and panic. We find ourselves getting drawn into narratives that aren't serving our highest, most organic timeline.

There are many distractions that will tempt to take you away from the important inner work, self care, healing and vibratory work that is needed. When we spend too much time on the narrative of our Outer World we neglect our Inner World. We must find a healthy balance, which can often times look like stepping away from social media, turning our technology off and giving ourselves many, many mental breaks. Many are needing extra rest and recovery time right now as this is one of the easiest ways our bodies can integrate these higher frequencies.

Allow yourself the opportunity to seek a better understanding of what's happening "out there," but be sure you're giving yourself equal, if not more, time to nurture the changes that are happening within yourself. In other words, do not become so focused on the shadows of the World that you neglect your own Inner Light.

I awoke from sleep the other night and heard a voice tell me, "Hold the Light." Three simple words! We know that darkness cannot exist in a room full of light. So, this is our task right now; hold the light.

With Love,

Kelsey
